Copper Foil Mylar Tape

Copper Foil Mylar Tape is a single-sided CU/PET composite material that combines the conductivity of copper foil with the mechanical support of polyester film. It is designed for EMI/RFI shielding, grounding, electrostatic-discharge protection and cable shielding applications. Multiple CU/PET structures, custom thicknesses and widths, and optional self-adhesive or conductive adhesive are available to meet different production requirements.

The CU/PET composite combines the conductive function of copper foil with the strength and durability of polyester film, providing a practical shielding material for cable and electronic assembly applications.

Multiple Structures for Different Requirements

Nine CU/PET combinations are available in the current product range. Buyers can select the copper/PET structure and total thickness according to the required mechanical performance, weight and application.

Reliable Mechanical Performance

Depending on the selected structure, tensile strength is available from ≥50 MPa to ≥100 MPa, with breaking elongation of ≥6% or ≥10%.

Flexible Processing Options

Custom thickness and width are available. The material can also be supplied with self-adhesive or conductive adhesive according to the customer’s application requirements.

Moisture-Protected Packing

Each roll is individually packed in a moisture-proof film bag with desiccant, vacuum sealed and then placed into a carton to support safe transportation and storage.

Cable Shielding

Suitable for conductive shielding layers in cable constructions. The selected structure, wrapping method, overlap and adhesive option can be matched to the cable design.

PCB Assembly

Can be used in shielding and grounding applications for printed-circuit-board assemblies, subject to the assembly design and process requirements.

Flexible Circuits

The copper/PET composite is suitable for shielding, grounding and electrostatic-discharge protection in flexible-circuit applications.

Lithium Battery Packs

Available for shielding and grounding applications in lithium battery pack assemblies. Material structure and adhesive requirements should be confirmed according to the product design.

Packing & Storage

Each roll is individually placed in a moisture-proof film bag with desiccant.
The bag is vacuum sealed and then packed into a carton.
Wooden-box reference: 1250 × 860 × 660 mm / 1 ton.
Store unopened material at 23°C ± 2°C and RH 50% ± 10%.
Shelf life is 12 months for unopened material under the recommended storage conditions.
Avoid direct sunlight, high temperature and humidity.
Protect the rolls from heavy pressure and mechanical damage.
Repack unused material and store it in a dry, well-ventilated place.
Do not store outdoors. Use a tarpaulin if short-term outdoor storage is unavoidable.
